Intimate care brand releases menopause range tailored to women over 40

You don't have to look far to locate anti-ageing products in the beauty world, from fancy face creams to light-up masks that wouldn't be out of place in a sci-fi movie.

But the cosmetics industry could be guilty of focusing on wrinkles and youthful skin while ignoring the problems we actually need solutions to once we get older.

During menopause, for instance, physical symptoms ranges from an increased sensitivity to UTIs to hot flushes and vaginal dryness, which is why WooWoo has developed a range to cater specifically to women over 40.

The intimate bodycare brand's Manifesto collection debuted for Menopause Awareness Month, comprising six products to care for 'down there' during hormonal changes.

Featuring key actives such as artichoke leaf peptides, kigeline extract and Provitamin B5, each product has been formulated to counteract the reduction of oestrogen and progesterone that leads to common skin concerns such as dryness and loss of firmness.

Ingredients encourage cell regeneration, promote collagen production, and improve skin elasticity overtime – leading to more hydrated, firmer and smoother skin.

Two new products happen to be introduced to the WooWoo Manifesto range; Bright and Buff Body Scrub and Goddess Glow Cream. With caffeine alongside the hero artichoke and kigeline, make use of this duo to lift and even out skin on bums, tums, and thighs.

The collection also includes a pH balanced Blissful Bath Soak, Gentle Foaming Body Wash, Intimate Lube and Moisturiser, and Moisturising Intimate Wipes.

Soothing natural aloe-vera and deeply nourishing artichoke leaf peptides work in to naturally hydrate and moisturise while combatting common perimenopause and menopause symptoms.

Everything's also plant-based and safe to be used on intimate skin, meaning you are able to pamper yourself without having to worry about irritation.

WooWoo developed the range following a survey of over 1,500 women over 40 to understand their specific skincare needs and concerns.

The research says 32% of respondents had experienced symptoms for example dry skin with over a quarter also suffering from vaginal dryness.

Of the women surveyed, 30% expressed a wish for brands to produce more products with better 100 % natural ingredients that supported them in this lifestage, while 16% explicitly requested more products that would help enhance their sex lives.
